The Adventures of Samarth and his Friends

Characters: Samarth, Raghav, Milind and Koustubh

Cities: Sringeri, Mumbai, Qiqihar, Jixi, Canberra and Sydney

Countries: India, China and Australia

One day we were enjoying our summer on a beach. We wanted to go on a trip to Australia.

The next day we went to Canberra, the capital of Australia. Then we went to Sydney. We watched the BBL, also known as Big Bash League. Sydney Thunder won the BBL and we went back to Canberra.

One day, we went shopping. Raghav found a bottle. In that bottle there was a treasure map. Written in the treasure map was that the treasure is in Jixi.

We planned to go to Qiqihar by plane. We booked the plane and left. The next day we reached Qiqihar at 10:00 am.

There were so many exotic places to see and we saw all the places. We were there for two hours.

That night, we all read the map and went to Jixi by bullet train. We saw places in Jixi for a month. Jixi was a big city. The first clue in the bottle, told us to look in an old neem tree in the forest. The four of us saw a small neem tree in the forest. Beside that there was the old, big, neem tree. The four of them dug under it. We saw some logs. In one of the logs there was a second clue.

The clue was “Over a raised platform in the park that is a big circle”. We went to the park. Though everyone went in different ways, they met at the same place where the raised platform was. I had a light. I opened the raised platform. There were two big logs. In that, was the third clue – “Near the beach, from the starting of the beach, you need to count 100 steps. You will get an X”

We went to the beach and we got the X. We dug in the sand. We found a ship’s handle. There was the last clue – “the treasure is in the middle of the river and you can make your own ship”.

So we mixed the logs, the two big logs and the ship’s handle. We made a new ship with paint, new gadgets and put in a symbol. We went to the river in the ship and Raghav’s phone showed that the treasure was there. Everybody went except Koustubh who was handling the ship. We all wore our scuba suits, took our oxygen cylinders and dived into the river.

We found a large pearl under the ocean bed. The pearl was white and gold. There was a handprint. I kept my hand and it opened! There was a hole and we thought the treasure was inside it. We went inside the pearl and we found a maze. We went straight and walked for some time. After five minutes, Milind said, ‘We have come back to the same point!’ Raghav’s phone’s battery was over. We saw a bedroom on the right. There was a large mat. We heard a sound under it when we stepped on it. When we opened the mat, we saw a picture of my great grandfather!

We were totally shocked! We went down the staircase and there was a big box. Inside the box there was the treasure and a note from my great grandfather. The note said,

“There are a thousand diamonds in this box. You must use this treasure to help others. Only if you promise this, you can open the box.”

We promised and the box opened. We went back to the ship and reached the shore at 7:00 pm.

The next day we went to Qiqihar by bullet train. We went to Mumbai by flight. We used the treasure to help the poor people in Mumbai and all of them lived happily.

My Summer Holidays

I went to my grandmother’s house in the summer holidays. My cousin Sanjana also came there. We both played together. We helped our grandmother. We gave her what she asked us.

We all went to ‘Martin’s Farm’. We saw a turkey, different types of birds and animals. In the evening they allowed us to feed animals like the horse, goat, sheep and donkey. One of the farm uncles taught me to climb the tree.

After some days we joined a chess class and learnt to play chess. Our grandmother taught us how to stitch. We learnt four types of stitching – hemming, pass stitch, button hole stitch and chain stitch. I went to Gadag with my grandmother and grandfather to attend a wedding. There I met a new friend, Sarayu. We enjoyed a lot.

After some days my mother and I went to Mantaralaya to attend another wedding. There we went to the Raghavendra Swamy temple. We went near the Tungabhadra river. There was no water because of the heat. My father took me to the animal kingdom.

The Serpent’s Shadow

“When do we land there? Go faster!” said Shishir and Suhas. “This boat never goes fast. You don’t know what speed I am going at.” said Bhavani. “We must pass through Bermuda triangle to reach the island. Hang on!” They passed through the triangle with very hard work. They were the first ones to pass the Bermuda triangle. They were very happy. When they reached the island and pulled the boat,  Shishir said, “I have heard that there is a very strong, red, ten headed snake which lives here.” Hearing this Suhas got scared. “I… I don’t think that we must put up a tent and trek there. Let’s go back.” Bhavani responded “What?! You think that we should go back after coming a long way till here? NO!”

The three friends went inside the forest a bit. “I think we must put up the tent here” said Shishir. Now they were in middle of the forest. They decided to be there till they leave the place. After some days, when they wanted to hunt, all the three of them went together as a team.

But as they went, they saw that some dead people were there. A huge amount of them. All of them were surprised at the size of the humans.

There was a man in the middle, crying. He was dressed as king. Shishir asked “Who are you and why are you crying?” The man said “The people and I, who are my size, are called the “Enormous Ants”. I am crying because the Kingdom of a Snake lives near the Bermuda triangle. He comes from the sea to our island. He is looking for an artefact which is only found here. He needs it to suck the power of it and rule the whole world. He has already conquered the Bermuda triangle which is why it is destroyed. He calls himself a serpent. He has an infinity army of poisonous snakes. He is going to wage a war after a week and I have only 300 soldiers” said the King. The three friends decided to help him. Shishir said, “We cant’t defeat him in the war. We must kill him before the war.” All of them accepted.

It took six days for preparations for the mission. The seventh day was the war. Suhas was sent to kill the Serpent. Luckily, Suhas found the Serpent with his powerful magic wand. Suhas had a knife and a rocket launcher. As the Serpent came from the shore he tried to kill him by pushing the knife through him. He was alive but not able to move. Suhas stepped a bit far and screamed and shot his rocket launcher saying “Asthala – bistha -BOOOOOM!!!!” Suhas shot the serpent and killed him. He said this to the King of the team “ Enormous Ants”. He could not control his happiness and jumped up and down.

The three friends sighed and happily left the island of forest. They brought happiness to them. The island of “Enormous Ants” was filled with harmony, peace, happiness and good kingship forever.

The World Adventure

Once upon a time, there were six friends named Raghav, Koustubh, Thejas, Nipun, Samarth and Dhimanth. They all were studying in STD X. It was the time of Dasara, so the school gave them one month of holidays.

One evening, all the friends went to a garden nearby to dig the soil and take out the things which are inside it so that they could clean the garden. Thejas found a large paper inside the ground. He gave it to Raghav. Raghav exclaimed, “Wow guys! It is a treasure map. Let’s have some adventures. Pack your food, ten bottles of water, clothes and come to this garden at 6:00 am early in the morning with your bag. Do remember to get your bicycles too.”

All the children were very excited. Thejas’ father was a carpenter. He taught him to make many things with wood. So for emergencies, Thejas carried all the tools and wood which were in his house too. The next day everyone was ready near the garden with their bags and cycles. They went straight in the direction of the sea. They went and went till they found the sea shore. They found the sea. They were kicking up a storm about how to cross the sea. Thejas said, “I have many tools and wood. We can make a small ship.” All said, “But we don’t know how to make it.” Thejas said, “Calm down, calm down. I will teach you how to make it because I know how to make it.”

They took four hours to make the small ship. It was made nicely and big. They decided to make Raghav the captain of the ship and the team. It was easy for Raghav to drive the ship in the sea because there were no strong and big waves there. But in the Indian Ocean, it was very difficult to drive because it was raining and the waves were very strong and large. Koustubh was very good in playing mobile phone games, computer games, TV games and video games. Koustubh drove the ship nicely too.

They reached Africa. There was a dense forest. They went straight in the north direction. They saw a round ring and dug it up. They found a bunch of sacks filled with gold. They were very happy. They went back to their ship. Samarth’s father was a scientist. He taught Samarth to make experiments with wood. So, Samarth made a flying ship from the ship which Thejas had made. Samarth’s work succeeded. The aeroplane was able to fly high up in the sky. Koustubh drove the flying ship nicely.

They went to North America. It was a large desert. Suddenly, a large giant came and took all the friends away, but it could not catch Raghav. Raghav went near the quick sand. The giant followed him. He fell inside the quick sand and died. All the friends jumped from the giant’s head to the ground and thanked Raghav for saving their lives. Suddenly, a fairy came and said, “Thank you Raghav. You just saved me from that wicked giant. He always used to trouble me. Take this pouch. Put your hand inside it and tell it what you need. You will get it in one second.” She bowed herself and vanished.

They went to South America. They reached South America. It was windy there. They went in the direction of the west. They saw a square shape on the ground. They dug it and found a large box filled with gold coins and ornaments. They went to Antarctica. It was very cold there. There was something shining nearby. They went near it and got to know that it was one trillion golden coins. They were very happy but soon they became dull. They were thinking about how to take the golden coins to the ship. Nipun and Dhimanth were brothers. Their father was a wrestler. He taught them how to carry heavy things such as a cupboard etc. They carried the coins and ornaments till the ship.

Then they went to Australia. It was sunny. They climbed the highest hill. They saw a dot on the ground. They dug it up. They saw a sack of golden coins. All of the friends were very happy. They went back to India and told their mothers everything. Their mothers were worried about them. They shared the treasure and lived happily.

My father, mother, brother and I went to Davangere on 7th April in a KSRTC bus. In the morning, we went to my father’s friend’s house. We went in his car to a restaurant called Davangere Benne Dose for refreshments. The city is famous for many colleges and for its benne dose. There are many pigs there. It was the day of Ugadi. We went to the hotel and the benne dose was yummy. We went to Hospet and visited a lodge called Pai Residency. It was lunch time. We went to a nearby hotel and had a good lunch with ice cream.

Virupaksha Temple

We went to Chitradurga. Midway, we went to a dhaba. We ate egg rice, roti and biryani. It was very delicious. We again started our journey. I saw many windmills on the hills. We reached Chitradurga and it was very cold because of the rain. Chitradurga was full of stones. It was like a stone fort.  Madakarinayaka was the ruler of Chitradurga, we went inside the fort. All the things were made of stones such as walls, steps, floor, houses of soldiers and temples. We saw the map midway of Chitradurga. Next, we saw the Hidambana Jokaali, Bhimathirtha, Hidamba temple and Banshankari temple. Next we saw the Akkana Gundi and Tangina Gundi. It was very deep and it can store 12 years of water.

Chitradurga Fort

Next we saw the Onake Obbavana Kindhi. We came out of the kindhi like the soldiers because there was a way to come out from the kindhi. From there we went back to a Devi’s temple. That temple’s goddess was smiling and it was very beautiful. Then we went back to our car. Then we went to Devanagere again. It was night when we reached. My father’s friend left us in a residency called Gandharva and went to his house. We ate in the non- vegetarian hotel. The food was very nice. We slept inside the residency.

Next day we went to Hari Hara. It was very beautiful. The sculpture was excellent. From there we went to Tunga dam and it was nice. Next we went to a bird’s sanctuary. Only cranes were there. Next we went to Sakkare Bayle. It was time up and no elephant was there. Next we saw Agumbe. It was very risky. We went to my village, Karkala. We went for weddings, the temple and Savira Kambada Basadi. Then I went to my grandmother’s house. There I went for many weddings, folk dances and one beach. I also watched TV, watched what my grandmother was doing, read books, drew and went to the forest with my grandfather. I also drank one lemon juice every day. I enjoyed my holidays very much!
